官方部落格 PDFForge 於 2013/11/29 發佈了 PDFCreator v1.7.2 原始英文版更新訊息。這次版本主要是：(a) 更新 PDF/A 與 Postscript 的支援，(b) 升級至 Ghostscript 9.10 版，是屬於小幅度的更新。
更新：2013/11/14 推出 v.1.9.1 正式測試 (Beta) 版本。
更新：2014/1/31 推出 v.1.9.2 正式測試 (Beta) 版本。
此次的更新訊息上還說道：「這個更新版本之後，將專注在 PDFCreator 2.0 版研發上，舊版只會做錯誤修正而已。」舊版使用者建議開始考慮轉換到 PDFCreator 開發者預覽版 (v.1.9.0) 。新版本軟體是採用 Microsoft C# (MS .Net Framework) 程式語言重新改寫，我經過近半年試用覺得還蠻穩定，已經可以正確地處理中文 (UTF8) 檔名，不會發生檔名亂碼或產生空白頁的問題，有興趣的朋友推薦下載來使用，但目前只包含英文版哦！
This will be one the last releases before moving to the new 1.9.x development, heading towards PDFCreator 2.0 with our complete .Net rewrite of the application. The VB6 version will still be maintained, but bigger features will most likely not be added anymore.
